Location in ZBE
Bilbao Low Emission Zone
This area has the following opening hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
What areas does the ZBE cover?
The Bilbao LEZ extends over the central neighbourhoods of Abando and Indautxu, an area delimited by the Bilbao estuary and the streets Sabino Arana, Avenida del Ferrocarril, Autonomía and Bailén. This area was selected following a study that assessed the impact of traffic on air quality. The ordinance provides for the possibility of expanding the LEZ to other neighbourhoods with high traffic density in the future.
What vehicles are restricted?
Vehicles with an A-type environmental label, i.e. petrol-powered vehicles registered before 2001 and diesel before 2006, will not be able to enter the ZBE. Vehicles without a label are also prohibited. However, type B vehicles, which include petrol-powered passenger cars and light vans from 2001 and diesel from 2006, will benefit from a moratorium until 15 June 2025. Vehicles with foreign registration plates must always be notified.
How will you access this area if your vehicle meets the requirements above?
If you are going to park in our car park, please request an invitation for your vehicle at the reception desk.
If, on the other hand, you are going to park somewhere else, check the regulations at the link by clicking here.
